B. Mai Lawyer (912) 66-FAFO

The disaster lawyer who has worked the disasters.

I'm a Georgia attorney and a Certified Emergency Manager. I've led public information for hurricane responses, and I bring that operational experience to the legal and planning problems that disasters create.

Where law and disaster meet

Most lawyers learn about emergency management after a disaster lands on their desk. I spent years inside emergency operations centers before law school, and I still work disasters today. That means I understand how response and recovery decisions actually get made, who makes them, and what records they leave behind.

How I help

  • Legal problems that follow a disaster, for the people and organizations affected
  • Continuity and preparedness planning, so a business or agency can keep operating
  • Crisis and public information planning, exercises, and training
  • After-action reviews that look honestly at what worked and what didn't
